Market Day on sustainability, recycling and ecology Fresh fish Nordfyns Folkehøjskole proudly organized a market day with "sustainability, recycling and ecology in the center". The event was named FRESH FISH. It was organized with the assistance of our international class - "Take the Future" and evenmore there was the active involvement of our other students from diferent faculties. The surplus money collected from the market goes to school projects in Uganda through association Weniruda. In the market, there were different stalls where visitors could buy things like handbags, jewellery, pillows and etc. made from recycled materials and old furnitures - which were given a new life with paint in bright colors. Moreover visitors could experience - recycling workshop, tower climbing, musical event and a film-show: Debate on Development Aid in Africa. Along with all these activities there was an organic coffee shop with homemade cookies. It was a successfull program as the arrival and participation of the visitors was satisfactory. From the market we were able to collect around 13,000 kr. |
